MONTERREY -- Amid rumors placing him at Santos in Brazil, Argentine Lucas Zelarayán seems to have no place in Tigres at the start of the Clausura 2018 of the Liga Bancomer.
For the match of matchday 6 against America at the Universitario Stadium, the 'Chino' would not be considered by Ricardo Ferretti to be with the first team, so he would go to the U-20 representative.
Zelarayán has continued to work with the first team despite the rumors of his return to South America, however, he has not been able to establish himself as a starter in the first weeks of the current tournament.
The Argentine has only played 24 minutes in the campaign, coming off the bench in the matches against Puebla, Santos, and Pachuca.
In the current tournament, he was sent to the U-20 team, where he played the full 90 minutes in the 3-1 victory against Gallos Blancos in Querétaro.
