Oswaldo Sánchez could return to Chivas
He left in the last days of 2006 and only returned as a rival. Now Oswaldo Javier Sánchez Ibarra is close to returning to Chivas, but in a managerial position, as support, as a link between Matías Almeyda, the group of players, and the board led by Jorge Amaury Vergara and José Luis Higuera.
It is true that they are still studying who will take this position, but the name that resonates the most in the surroundings of the Omnilife corporate offices and in Verde Valle is that of San Oswaldo.
Oswaldo Sánchez currently works for Televisa and is their strong card for the World Cup in Russia, but as nothing is closed, Oswaldo is still in the plans for the football event in Europe.
What gives Oswaldo Sánchez an advantage is that he was the team captain, he used to control the locker room in his time, and he is loved by the people and identified with the colors. And most importantly, he has no plans to become a coach.
Oswaldo has chosen not to talk about this possibility in interviews, but according to his inner circle, he does not dislike the idea of returning to Chivas.
Other options that have been mentioned are the return of Néstor de la Torre, Ricardo Peláez, among other former long-legged men.
