Mexico will face Croatia on March 27 in a preparation match for the World Cup in Russia, announced the Mexican Soccer Federation on Thursday.
The match, which will take place in Arlington, Texas, will be four days after another friendly against Iceland.
The matches against Iceland and Croatia will be held on official FIFA dates, so coach Juan Carlos Osorio will be able to count on all active players in European leagues.
Mexico will debut in the World Cup on June 17 against Germany, then will face South Korea and close the group stage against Sweden.
For their preparation towards Russia 2018, the Mexicans have exclusively chosen European opponents. After the match against Croatia, the 'Tri' will face Scotland on June 2 at the Azteca Stadium, and seven days later will clash with Denmark, in a venue yet to be confirmed.
Croatia, ranked 15th in the FIFA rankings, shares Group D of the World Cup along with Iceland, Nigeria, and Argentina.
Mexico and Croatia have faced each other five times, the last of which was last year when the Europeans won 2-1 in Los Angeles.
