Blizzard will continue to expand Overwatch content throughout 2018. The next event on the calendar is the Lunar New Year, which celebrates the end of the Chinese year cycle. For this edition, they are preparing new appearances, thematic animations, graffiti, and much more.
Jeff Kaplan, director of Overwatch, also added a new map to the content announced for February 8th. The update will be available on all platforms (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC) so that all users can enjoy the content.
The new map will be set in Thailand but does not yet have a defined name. According to the Overwatch director, they have been working on the visual details to make it attractive to all "shooter" players.
It has been developed to have two clearly differentiated areas: an ancient ancestral temple and a modern area. This is the first map created exclusively for a single game mode. The mode that will be played here is Capture the Flag. It was also used to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year in Overwatch.
