Spurs' imminent arrival Lucas Moura shows ELECTRIFYING pace and dribbling ability for PSG

The Brazilian has been in London since the end of last week thrashing out the finer details of a move – reportedly worth £25m – that would see him link up with former team-mate Serge Aurier at Wembley Stadium this season.

But he has now passed a medical examination at Enfield Training Centre with an announcement likely at some point this afternoon.

Moura, who has scored 45 goals in 228 appearances for the Parisian club, is thought to be seeking regular first-team action after falling behind new arrivals Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the pecking order.

The move has been welcomed by Spurs fans desperate for the side to add some pace and width this season as they struggle to match their second and third-placed finishes in the Premier League over the past two seasons.

Able to play on either flank, Moura could fit the bill perfectly for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, as the above clip demonstrates.

It shows Moura bursting from inside his own half to sprint past half of Marseille squad, slicing directly through the heart of the defence before chipping a deft finish over the goalkeeper.

A charging defender manages to make it back just in time to make a spectacular clearance off the line – but Spurs fans will be more than happy if they see Moura manage to make similar runs in the Premier League this season.

“I've seen more quality in that video then I have in 18 months from Sissoko,” read one comment.

Another said: “This is exactly what we need. Teams are defending in numbers against us, blocking space for Eriksen, Kane, Alli.

“A player with the ability to take two or three people out of the game, could be a gamechanger for us.”

French football expert Julien Laurens told the BBC: “He has shown at times that he has a lot of talent. He needs consistency and he needs a manager who can help him improve, something Unai Emery and Laurent Blanc have not been able to do at PSG.

“Mauricio Pochettino may be the perfect guy for him right now.

“He has the pace, he has the skill but he is going to get kicked a lot. If he can cope with the aggression he will be fine.”
