A tense situation between Sao Paulo and Christian Cueva
After the controversial decision of the Peruvian national team player to leave a message against the club on his Instagram account, the midfielder came out to clarify the whole situation. However, Sao Paulo's coach has preferred to stay out of the situation and has not wanted to talk about the Peruvian.
He wants nothing to do with him
"I'm not going to talk about Christian Cueva. It's a matter that Raí (Sao Paulo's football executive director) can talk about better. We have to talk about the good things of Sao Paulo, about the great game today, and about the decision of the cup this Thursday," said Dorival Junior in a press conference after the match against Mirassol.
A key game for Sao Paulo is coming up, as they must face Corinthians for the Paulista Championship and probably will not count on the presence of Christian Cueva after the situation he is experiencing in the club.
Cueva's statement
"It will be my job to work twice as hard to earn the love of Sao Paulo's fans again. I apologize to them, I have a lot of respect for the club's sacred shirt. It was tough for me to earn a spot here. I don't believe in this or that, I am very grateful.
