MEXICO -- Erick Torres has returned to Mexico to become the latest reinforcement for Pumas. The 25-year-old forward was acquired by the university team to complete the Clausura 2018 lineup, according to a source consulted by ESPN Digital.
For the past couple of weeks, there has been speculation about Torres possibly joining Veracruz; however, the last-minute negotiation fell through when it was very advanced.
Houston Dynamo was looking to give the attacker an exit, and after the deal with Veracruz fell through, Pumas emerged as the team to acquire him.
Negotiations progressed to the point where an agreement was reached for him to join the squad as soon as possible and complete the roster for the tournament that has already started for three matchdays.
With Torres' incorporation, Pumas will close its roster for this campaign, which has also brought in players such as Yuber Asprilla, Alejandro Arribas, and Gustavo Alustiza.
