Colombians Edwin Cardona, Wilmar Barrios, and Frank Fabra Return to Training

Colombians Edwin Cardona, Wilmar Barrios, and Frank Fabra, who were separated from the team last Wednesday following the alleged aggression of the former to two women, with Fabra as a witness, returned to training this Tuesday with their Boca Juniors teammates, who returned from Mar del Plata.

The Colombians had been separated from the main Boca Juniors team, which traveled to the coastal city and played last Wednesday against Aldosivi and last Sunday against River Plate, after the denunciation of two women, who claim that they were assaulted by the footballers.

The coach, Guillermo Barros Schelotto, announced last Thursday that he separated them because he was "uncomfortable with the situation," because "he did not know what had happened," and that this did not allow practices to develop normally.

"If the Colombians join next week, they will have to be at 100% to play for Boca Juniors. Justice will determine what happened. They cannot make us change course. As a leader, one has to continue the same way, training and preparing to win the first match, against Colón," he said at that time.

This Monday, the investigation against Cardona and Barrios changed from "illegitimate deprivation of liberty, injuries, and threats" to "minor injuries," as explained by the players' lawyer, Miguel Ángel Pierri.

Boca Juniors' first official match this year will be on Saturday, January 27 against Colón at La Bombonera, in the thirteenth round of the Argentine Superliga, which 'Xeneize' leads with 30 points, three more than its follower, San Lorenzo.

In 2018, 'Xeneize' will also compete in the Copa Argentina, the Copa Libertadores, and the final of the Supercopa Arentina against River Plate.
