Last weekend the three games of group two corresponding to the second phase of the National Basketball Championship, under-16 category, organized by the Ecuadorian Federation of this sport, were played.
The results of the matches played at the Abel Jiménez Parra coliseum, located in Samanes Park, were Formar Fedeloja 58, La Academia 55; Guayas 54, Formar Fedeloja 23; and Guayas 49, La Academia 33.
With the results, Guayas is in the lead with 4 points, two victories, and 47 baskets in favor; followed by Formar Fedeloja with 3 points, -28; and La Academia with 2 units and -19.
In group 1, Fedeazuay leads with 6 points and 135 baskets in favor; club Lums FDT is the leader of group 3 with 4 points and +79; Celai is first in group 4 with 6 points and +118; and in group 5, FHES is the leader with 6 points and +36.
Once the positions in the five series were defined, the points of the two phases were added up and the A and B groups were formed, with the top 8 and the next 8, respectively.
In group A, group 1, the teams are Fedeazuay (Azuay), Celai (El Oro), San Pedro de Taboada (Pichincha), and Formar Fedeloja.
In group 2, the teams are club Lums FDT and Ar Básquet (Tungurahua), Guayas (Guayas), and FHES (Pichincha).
In group B, group 1, the teams are Santa María (El Oro), Escuela de Básquet CKT (Tungurahua), Sandry Sánchez (Los Ríos), and Independiente (Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas).
In group 2, the teams are Santa Elena, Monk's (Morona Santiago), Viejo William, and La Academia from El Oro.
Guayas scored 103 points in favor and 56 against in their two matches. (D)
