After Pumas' victory over Atlas, the coach of Universidad Nacional, David Patiño, stated that they are arriving at a good level to face America.

The victory against Atlas filled Pumas with confidence and revitalized the team's spirit, as stated by David Patiño in a press conference:

David Patiño: "Against América we arrive in a great moment, but we will take it with humility, we have not won anything, only the first two League matches." And yes, the next rival for CU's team will be the Eagles, whom they will host next Sunday at the Olympic Stadium.

"América is a great team, but we are too. They have a very good squad... And so do we. It will be a nice duel," highlighted Patiño himself. And about the formula that has led his Pumas to conquer the overall leadership of the tournament, the coach commented: "The only thing I have done is to bring order, collective organization of behaviors."

Midweek, a few days before the highly anticipated duel, Pumas will begin their activity in the Cup; however, the coach made it clear how they will approach this tournament: "We will face it with seriousness and a mix of homegrown talent and experienced players." The coach also emphasized that starting this week, Abraham González will rejoin the first team's activity.
