Origin of the name
(By Raúl C. Cancio) Brand crystallization is the mechanism by which a brand is identified with a type of product in an indivisible way. That is exactly what happened to the Green Bay football team in 1919 when one of its founders, Curly Lambeau, an employee in a canned meat company, asked them to sponsor the emerging team. The company, which was called Indian Packing Company (later Acme Packing Co.), contributed $500 for equipment and training. The Packers were born.

The Green Bay Packers are the only professional American team whose owners are its members. Specifically, 360,584 owners. A fan base that has been filling Lambeau Field without fail since 1960, despite the stadium's capacity being 80,735 while the population of Green Bay barely exceeds 100,000 people. What more can be added? The owners of Green Bay are one of the most beloved anomalies in the entire NFL.
General manager: Ted Thompson ***
In Ted Thompson's favor, the Packers' general manager since 2005, he achieved a fantastic transition after the Brett Favre era by drafting Aaron Rodgers. Oh, and a Super Bowl. In his detractors' eyes, with one of the greatest QBs in history on the roster, he has not been able to assemble teams that allow him to showcase the rings that his talent is undoubtedly capable of amassing. This dichotomy prevents him from being ranked among the greatest in his profession.

With great weapons come great responsibilities; Mike McCarthy has the best QB in the league and, therefore, is expected to give his utmost every year. And, for far too long, he has failed every year. Sometimes due to an unbalanced roster. Other times due to injury problems. But also because he gravely mistakes certain moments. He usually errs on the side of caution, which ultimately harms his team, and the murmurs about his persona are starting to become louder. This year is key to understanding the coach's future, as he must abandon his fears if he doesn't want them to devour him.
STADIUM: Lambeau Field, much more than a stadium *****
MLB has Fenway Park or Wrigley Field, the NFL has Lambeau Field, a stadium that breathes football from all sides, but understood as such, with the flavor of tradition. Lambeau Field doesn't have individual seats, but rather bleachers, which allows for closeness and human warmth when the cold comes, something that starts in Green Bay in November. The Packers have managed to turn their stadium into something more than just a field; it's an intrinsic part of the city and the franchise itself, serving as a museum, stores, restaurants, and convention center... It's more than just a stadium.
FAN BASE: the ultimate fan base *****
A simple anecdote serves to define this fan base. A few years ago, a lady committed a minor crime. The judge sentenced her to sell her two Packers season tickets, a treasure that passes from generation to generation. When the judge handed down the sentence, the lady told the judge that she would rather spend a season in prison than lose her tickets. The judge told her that the ultimate purpose of justice is precisely that, for an exemplary punishment to prevent you from committing another crime, and he couldn't think of a better punishment than that, losing her greatest treasure.
The greatest treasures of the state of Wisconsin are Harley Davidson motorcycles, cheese - a symbol of the team's fans, and a Green Bay Packers season ticket, probably the most difficult of the three to obtain.
