Featherweight Champion Max Holloway to Defend Title Against Frankie Edgar at UFC 222
Featherweight champion Max Holloway will have his second title defense on March 3rd at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas at UFC 222, facing American fighter Frankie Edgar.
Originally, both fighters were scheduled to meet at UFC 218, but a fractured orbital bone forced Frankie Edgar to withdraw from the fight.
The Brazilian Jose Aldo stepped in to replace the former lightweight champion and was defeated - for the second time in a row - by the Hawaiian, marking his 12th consecutive victory.
This fight will be the main event of UFC 222, which currently includes two other matches: C.B. Dollaway vs. Hector Lombard and Stefan Struve vs. Andrei Arlovski.
