More than a surprise, it was a consequence of the structured team work. The Team Himoinsa celebrated the third place in motorcycles at the 2017 Dakar with Gerard Farrés and for this edition the pilot is looking for more.
If he already feels the tranquility of having reached the podium, he also knows that he has the obligation to fight for more. "Now with a lot of desire for a new challenge, to try to equal it or surpass it," says the Spanish pilot.
That's why he knows that the first stages will be important for his interests. The Peruvian desert means a lot in the layout of the race and they have to know how to face it.
"Peru means difficulty above all. It's going to be very difficult because of the dunes. We have to take care of the motorcycles and take care of ourselves," he assures.
In addition, he mentions that in motorcycles the dominance of KTM can be cut off since there are many teams that can fight for victory.
