Keylor Navas proves he is willing to fight for his spot at Real Madrid

In a majestic setting like the Allianz Arena, Keylor Navas reminded everyone of the goalkeeper that amazed with Levante and Costa Rica during the past World Cup.

In total, the Costa Rican made seven saves, many of them of great quality and reflexes. He started by punching away a powerful shot from Alaba outside the box. Then, Müller tried to surprise him with a chip but without any luck. Just before half-time, he ran from post to post to deflect Götze's shot with his knee when the stadium was already cheering for the goal. He began the second half by anticipating and saving Müller's header. He then made a spectacular save by diving to his side to stop Höjbjerg's powerful shot. Finally, he sealed his brilliant performance with two incredible stops: a well-placed free kick from Alaba and a shot from Douglas Costa after a roulette.

Aerial play. On goal kicks, he tried to play the ball out from the back. He confidently caught two crosses and cleared one with his fists, although he failed to react on the goal. Douglas Costa sent a low and medium-height cross that he didn't dare to come out for. Lewandowski took advantage and broke the wall that had been the Costa Rican goalkeeper until the 87th minute.
