Rafael Nadal: Returning to Tennis After Injury
He has a return date. Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal will return to tennis after his injury at the Tie Break Tens tournament, which will start on January 10th in Melbourne.
The world's number one tennis player withdrew from the tournaments in Brisbane and Sydney in order to complete his recovery from a knee injury. The organizers have announced that Nadal will join Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka among the eight players who will compete in the tournament in Melbourne, where the winner will receive a prize of $250,000.
In this tournament, the winner will be the first player to reach 10 points and have a two-point advantage, in a "super tiebreaker".
"The Tie Break Tens is a great concept. We will see and play very exciting tennis matches," commented Nadal. "The group of participants is fantastic, and I expect tough competition, which will be wonderful for Australian fans."
