Emiliano Armenteros upset with Santos' transfer to Atlante

Emiliano Armenteros did not like that Santos transferred him to Ascenso MX's Atlante, complaining about what he believes was poor treatment by the albiverde club, and threatening to resort to legal action to resolve his situation.

The Argentine midfielder was not part of coach Robert Dante Siboldi's plans for the upcoming season, which is why he was made available for transfer. However, not finding a place in the top Mexican football league seems to have bothered the player, who now demands action from Santos and seeks to return to playing in his country.

As he stated in an interview with TyC Sports, Santos made the decision for him and he does not want to play in the Ascenso MX.

Aside from injuries, his decline in performance led him to participate with the Santos U20 team, resulting in very few minutes played in the Apertura 2017.

Everything stems from his transfer to Atlante in the previous transfer window, which he did not like. He was hoping to play in the Primera División, so he refuses to be part of Potros, claiming he was not consulted.

In addition, he complains about an unpaid two-week salary and the inexplicable move that forces him to play in the Ascenso MX, as detailed in the interview.

"The coach (Robert Siboldi) called me and mentioned the possibility of going to Atlante, but I told him no. I continue to enter the club and run into the employees who all greet me. I haven't done anything wrong. There is a four-year contract that must be respected."

The player insists that action was taken against his will and has therefore contacted the Association of Footballers to resolve the conflict.

"We are considering a return to Argentina (Banfield), but until I have this settled, I don't want to speak to anyone", he said about his possible future.

Armenteros arrived at Santos from Jaguares with high expectations, but his performance did not meet those expectations.
