"After taking into account the circumstances of the case, especially the player's degree of guilt, the FIFA Appeals Committee considered that a six-month unavailability period would be a proportionate sanction," explained the International Federation of Football.
"The suspension period begins on November 3, 2017, the date on which the player was provisionally suspended by the president of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee," the federation said.
