Tour de France takes over the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome.

With great excitement, 3,500 cyclists rode in the second edition of La Etapa CdMx of the Tour de France, which featured two routes: a short one of 75 km and a long one of 135 km.

With great excitement, 3,500 cyclists rode in the second edition of La Etapa CdMx del Tour de France, which had two routes: a short one of 75 Km. and a long one of 135 Km; both with start and finish at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.

The long-distance route covered a path inspired by the cycling route of the Mexico '68 Olympics, and the first place was taken by Gerardo Alberto Arellano Martínez from the State of Mexico with a time of three hours, 15 minutes and 17 seconds.

In the women's long-distance category, Gabriela Mijangos Díaz from Mexico City took first place with a time of three hours, 16 minutes and 44 seconds, adding this award to the overall first place she also achieved in La Etapa Querétaro.

Mijangos Díaz considered the stage as "excellent, a very demanding route. It's the second time I run La Etapa; a few days ago I won La Etapa Querétaro and now La Etapa CdMx, I feel very proud to participate in this incredible experience".

In the short 75 Km route, the winner in the men's category was José Antonio Frías Hernández from Mexico City with a time of two hours, four minutes and eight seconds; while in the women's category, Ariana Roxana León García from the State of Mexico achieved first place with a time of two hours, 11 minutes and 17 seconds.

Among all the competitors in both routes, the winners of the 3 Km Sprint were: Víctor Omar García Morín from the State of Mexico with three minutes and five seconds, and the two-time awardee Gabriela Mijangos Díaz with a time of five minutes and nine seconds.

La Etapa CdMx del Tour de France was part of the Mexican circuit of La Etapa which will also include La Etapa Acapulco and La Etapa Querétaro next year.
