A story of perseverance
Stefano Ratto, a 25-year-old athlete, is a true example of overcoming obstacles. Through effort and dedication, he has managed to achieve his dreams and goals. Despite battling with a disease, Stefano is currently the Triathlon champion.
A journey that started at 18
Stefano began practicing this discipline when he was 18 years old. He has participated in more than 30 competitions, and it was during an Ironman event where he completed a grueling 3,800-meter swim, 180 kilometers of cycling, and 42 kilometers of running.
A triumph in Los Cabos, Mexico
At the age of 23, Stefano completed the "Ironman Los Cabos Mexico" event. He devoted eleven hours to continuous physical activity and achieved first place in the men's 18-24 age category.
Overcoming adversity
Stefano's victory in Los Cabos allowed him to qualify for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, in October 2013. Despite the challenges he faces in training due to his diabetes type 1 condition, Stefano has managed to persevere.
Dreams beyond boundaries
Since he was diagnosed with diabetes at a young age, Stefano has depended on insulin. However, this hasn't stopped him from pursuing his dreams. He has participated in Ironman events in Australia and Tennessee, United States.
