Club Coello, the best of the master swimmers.

The Coello club from Ecuador took the title during the International Masters Swimming Championship that took place last weekend at the facilities of the same organization, located at km 11.5 on the coast road.

In the final count, the Ecuadorian representation completed 556 points and left the second place to the Trujillo Masters team from Peru, which reached 323 units; the rest of the positions were occupied by Club Grau-Piura, also from Peru, with 202.50 units; Perla del Pacífico, with 180.50; Guayaquil Tennis Club, with 144; Jorge Delgado Panchana, 118.

In addition, the Diana Quintana Club (CDQ) with 75; Manabí Aquatic Club (CAM), with 65; and Mayorga, with 24.

Results
Among the results obtained by category, Angelica Perdomo from Coello won in the 25-meters butterfly and 25-meters breaststroke categories in the 25-29 age group; while her teammate Linsy Coello also won in both specialties, but in the 30-34 years series.

The CDQ also took first place on the podium with Paulina Román, winner in both tests (25 meters butterfly and 25 meters breaststroke), but in the 35-39 years; she was joined by the double victory of Veronica Garcés from the Coello club in the 40-44 age category.

Perdomo didn't stop winning and repeated victory in the 25 meters freestyle, along with her teammate Linsy Coello, who also took first place in the specialty.

Paulina Román and Veronica Garcés repeated their successes in the 25 meters freestyle.

"This year has been very profitable for the Coello club in masters events. We won the national event on July 1 and 2, we did great in the San Vicente-Bahia crossing, and now we won the masters international," said the team's coach, Javier Coello. (D)
