Everything seemed to indicate that this Sunday César Vallejo would be crowned as the champion of the Second Division; however, the Professional Football Sports Association of the category (ADFP-SD) decided not to declare any winner of the title.
In a statement, the ADFP-SD explains that there will be no champion of the tournament until the investigations into the alleged cases of bribery are completed. Below we detail it.
- The Judiciary Commission of ADFP-SD has not delivered to the Board of Directors of ADFP-SD the resolution on the investigation of its ruling on the alleged bribes and incentives against fair play
- The JC of ADFP-SD had planned to issue a ruling prior to the end of the championship, but it continued to receive information that could prolong the investigation in coordination with the Integrity Office of the FPF and FIFA.
- Therefore, the Board of Directors has decided not to award any trophy if the case arises in the match this Sunday between Deportivo Hualgayoc and Universidad César Vallejo.
- Likewise, no one will be recognized as champion while the investigations of the JC of ADFP-SD in coordination with the FPF and FIFA are concluded.
- We are awaiting and vigilant for this investigation to reach conclusions and opinions that indicate that fair play is our flag.
