Tournament "Forming Stars" Begins
With a simple but emotional opening ceremony at the Revolution Stadium in Torreón, the 2017 edition of the National Baseball Tournament "Forming Stars" formally kicked off.
The matches started yesterday morning and will conclude on Monday with the award ceremony and closing.
Precisely, Luis Dovalina was in charge of throwing the first pitch, thus officially starting the hostilities in this children and youth categories event.
In an atmosphere of celebration and sportsmanship, all the teams were presented, with 88 squads from different leagues and independent teams from the country.
The following teams paraded: FEMBE Association from Nuevo León, Tarahumara League from Chihuahua, Nitras League from Nuevo León, Centauros from Chihuahua, Bluejays from Section 35 of Torreón, Yankees from Parral, Orioles from Gómez Palacio, Bravos from Apodaca, Bluejays from Sabinas, Bluejays from Agujita, Linces from Puebla.

Academia Saraperos de Saltillo, Halcones de Monclova, Tomateritos de Saltillo, Piratas from Tarahumara League, Atléticos from Aguascalientes, Mapaches from Lerdo, Saraperitos from Saltillo, Academia La Guagua, Linda Vista from Nuevo León, Dolores from Durango, Matamoros from Tamaulipas, Cardenales from Durango.
In addition to Parral Mimbras from Chihuahua, Parral San Uriel, Toros from the Norte League, Diablos from Piedras Negras, Diablos from San Luis La Paz Guanajuato, Jilutepec from Ciudad Juárez, and the hosts, Sertoma League from Torreón.

After the protocol act, a homage and recognition were paid to Luis Dovalina, founder of this tournament, as well as representatives of teams that have participated in almost all editions of "Forming Stars".
