Last weekend, the last round of the regular phase of the Ascenso MX's Apertura 2017 tournament will be played, a date full of emotions, as seven teams will be competing for the three remaining tickets to qualify for the playoffs.
Of the seven clubs that will fight to be in the next round of the tournament, six will face each other, reason enough for them to go for 'all or nothing'.
On November 10 and 11, the 15th matchday of the second division will be played, although on Friday the guests of honor to the big party will be determined.
Correcaminos vs. Dorados
Friday, November 10, 2017
20:00 hours
Marte R. Gómez Stadium
The Great Fish will visit Correcaminos with the mentality of getting a victory that will allow them to reach the playoffs of the second division, since a defeat would leave them out of the fight for the Apertura 2017 title; however, Ricardo Rayas' team will not allow the three points to slip away, as with 22 points they could think about the playoffs.
Atlético San Luis vs. Leones Negros
Friday, November 10, 2017
20:00 hours
Alfonso Lastras Stadium
San Luis is aware that its chances of qualifying are very low, but not impossible, so they need to win by a margin of three goals, Cimarrones and Cafetaleros' defeat, and a draw between Dorados and Correcaminos; meanwhile, the 'melenudos' will only seek to finish the tournament well.
Cafetaleros de Tapachula vs. Tampico Madero
Friday, November 10, 2017
21:00 hours
Olímpico de Tapachula Stadium
One of the most striking matches of the second division, because both teams are playing for a spot in the playoffs, something Tapachula has not achieved for two seasons. On the other hand, the Jaiba Brava could be in this stage, two seasons after their return to the Ascenso.
Cimarrones vs. Venados
Friday, November 10, 2017
21:00 hours
Héroe de Nacozari Stadium
Another match where both teams have to win to secure a spot in the playoffs. The home team, with the advantage of playing in front of their fans, will take advantage to go for the three points, as otherwise they could be out of the title race. Venados, who did not have a great Clausura 2017 tournament, will now, with the same coach, Bruno Marioni, try to give their fans a joy with qualification, something they have not achieved since the Apertura 2015.
Murciélagos vs. Atlante
Friday, November 10, 2017
22:00 hours
Centenario Los Mochis Stadium
Two teams with a somewhat lackluster performance, Murciélagos, who raised hopes at the start of the season; despite this, poor results left them with no chance of competing for the title.
Atlante, a similar case to Murciélagos, although the blue and grays had higher expectations after hiring Raúl Gutiérrez, something that gave tranquility to the fans, as someone from the club arrived and after the first big win, the team convinced; however, that did not happen, 'El Potro' was fired, Eduardo Rergis came to coach them, but the results in the Ascenso did not come and this weekend they will only try not to be penultimate in the table and start working to advance to the Copa MX Final.
Club Atlético Zacatepec vs. FC Juárez
Saturday, November 11, 2017
17:00 hours
Agustín 'Coruco' Díaz Stadium
Both teams are already on the other side, so now they will only fight to secure a place at the top of the table. If the cañeros (23 points) close at home with a win, they would surpass the Bravos (25 points) in points; therefore, the border team will go for the three points that could take them to the top of the second division.
Potros UAEM vs. Mineros de Zacatecas
Saturday, November 11, 2017
19:00 hours
Alberto 'Chivo' Córdoba Stadium
The mexiquenses, last place in the Apertura 2017, will have a tough match when they face the fourth-place team: Mineros de Zacatecas, who will only think about adding three points to not drop positions.
Celaya vs. Alebrijes de Oaxaca
Saturday, November 11, 2017
20:15 hours
Miguel Alemán Valdés Stadium
We close with a high-impact match, the first against the third place; both already qualified. But undoubtedly, it will be one of the most attractive of the weekend; if it ends in a draw or defeat for either of the two teams, they will forget about these privileged positions.
