Former NFL player Greg Hardy wins MMA debut
When his career was aimless, Greg Hardy decided to step away from the NFL. The former defender left the field to fully engage in mixed martial arts. And after nine months of training, the result paid off at Rise of a Warrior 21, an MMA event.
In just 32 seconds, Hardy had an explosive debut against Joe Hawkins. The former Dallas Cowboys player knocked out his opponent in just 32 seconds with a combination of punches. The fight was uploaded to YouTube and his name is already starting to make noise in the UFC.
"I feel happy, content. First fight and knockout felt incredible. I'm training to improve even more. Now, I'm ready for any opponent. I'll keep training hard and consistently," Hardy said after his victory.
At 29 years old, the former NFL player knows that if he wants to make a name for himself in MMA, he will have to work hard and be consistent. In addition, he must avoid repeating his past incidents, where he was accused of domestic violence in 2014 and arrested for cocaine possession two years later.
