Terrible news for Óscar Ustari
The bad news was confirmed after Dr. Rafael Ortega operated on his left knee. The Argentine goalkeeper injured himself when his left leg got stuck during a clearance. After the successful surgery, it was determined that Ustari's rehabilitation time will be long - he will be working for over six months to try to return in full physical and footballing form.
A difficult stage ahead for Óscar
The medical report from Atlas FC is very clear, and now the most difficult stage will come for Óscar - he must arm himself with patience.
"After conducting the relevant examinations, the medical team of Atlas FC found out that our player suffered a left infrapatellar tendon rupture, which is why he was immediately subjected to surgery. The surgery was performed this morning by Dr. Rafael Ortega, assisted by two members of our medical team: the head of sports science, Luis Fossati, and the First Team doctor, Ángel Gutiérrez."
There was hope that Ustari could return in eight weeks, but the reality was different. According to Dr. Ortega, the goalkeeper will have to wait for at least six months.
"Óscar's operation was successful, and it is estimated that the recovery time will be 6 months. Rehabilitation will begin as soon as possible, under the responsibility of the sports science department of Atlas FC."
