Croatian defender Dejan Lovren, of Liverpool, criticized for recent errors, said he felt "disgusted" on Tuesday after death threats were directed at his family on Instagram.
"Some people are horrible. I don't care about the attacks against me, it says more about people. But it's impossible to ignore when my family is threatened. I can't accept it. It disgusts me," the 28-year-old player wrote on his Instagram account.

The former Lyon player added a screenshot showing a threat: "I'm going to kill your family".
The English club has not commented on the death threat, although Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp defended Dejan Lovren.
"Surely it hasn't been the best week for Dejan, but this is just football. We are not a better or worse person because of a mistake in a match. When I think of Dejan, I find more positive things than negative ones." - AFP
