The Federation of the Gay Games 2022 voted to define which city will be the next host for this competition, in which Guadalajara and Washington lost the candidacy against Hong Kong.
Inspectors from different countries such as Germany, Australia, Canada, and the United States visited the three cities that applied to host this competition during the months of June and July, where they stayed for three and a half days.
Furthermore, the Federation thanked the 17 cities that were candidates to host the sexual diversity games in 2022, of which only five reached the semifinals, while Guadalajara advanced to the final round; however, Hong Kong was the winner.
The 10th edition of the Gay Games will take place in Paris, France from August 4th to 12th, 2018 and will feature 36 sports, 14 cultural events, academic conferences, and is expected to have the participation of 15,000 people from 70 different countries.
