First stage victory for Raúl Orlandini in Caminos del Inca 2017

Raúl Orlandini, the renowned national driver, took the wheel of his Mitsubishi EVO IX and became the great winner of the first stage Nasca - Arequipa of the 2017 edition of Caminos del Inca. He is currently leading both the integral traction category and the overall classification. After 475 timed kilometers and four specials, the 'Mono' took the victory with a time of 2h49m12s, surpassing José Luis Tommasini (2nd with 2h53m47s) and Ronmel Palomino (3rd with 2h56m55s) in the general standings. Along with his navigator Jhon Navarro, tomorrow he will have the day of repairs in Arequipa to prepare his Mitsubishi EVO IX and continue in the race.

"We are happy and calm with this first stage. A tough day with many kilometers of travel, but fortunately everything has gone well. We have taken care of the car since it is just the beginning, but we were able to impose our pace during the day. The car is very good, we are satisfied and now in Arequipa, we will provide the necessary assistance to the car to start on Monday," highlighted Raúl Orlandini, who is competing in the top integral traction category from October 28th to November 5th.

The Orlandini Racing Team has had a great stage between Nasca and Arequipa, taking the absolute victory on the first day of the race. In a route of 475 timed kilometers entirely on asphalt, Raúl was able to prevail from the first special of the competition, opening a lead that he must take advantage of for the second stage of the race. Great work with his co-pilot Jhon Navarro, with whom he has been performing a consistent rally with the aim of achieving a new title.

After this first stage, tomorrow the entire team will have a rest day and repairs in Arequipa, where they will provide assistance to their Mitsubishi EVO IX to get it ready for the second stage of the race, which will take place this Monday between Arequipa and Puno with 189 timed kilometers of pure dirt, where the Orlandini Racing Team will seek to extend their advantage in the general classification in order to fight for a new crown. The team is preparing to continue being the leaders of this great race.
