Peruvian Daniel 'Sóncora' Marcos triumphs at 300 Sparta
Peruvian Daniel 'Sóncora' Marcos was the standout of the 22nd edition of 300 Sparta, held last Friday at the Chiquián de Breña club, where he won by technical knockout against Ecuadorian Cristian 'Pitbull Negro' Herrera in the main event.
'Sóncora', who put his bantamweight (61 kg) title on the line in this fight, came out aggressive in the first round, trying to inflict damage with his explosive combinations. Meanwhile, Herrera focused on closing the distance and relied on his wrestling.
In the second round, the Ecuadorian started to feel the impact of 'Sóncora's' constant attacks, who even showcased some flying knees. And with less than a minute left to finish the second round, Herrera's corner decided not to continue, declaring the victory by technical knockout for the Peruvian.
This is the ninth consecutive victory for Daniel 'Sóncora' Marcos in his professional career, where he has not been defeated so far. In addition, he added the third defense of his bantamweight title in 300 Sparta.
