The Argentina coach, Jorge Sampaoli, and the president of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Claudio Tapia, met with the Russian ambassador in the country, Viktor Koronelli, following the threat from the terrorist group Islamic State (IS or ISIS in English) to Lionel Messi.
Argentina will play two friendly matches in Russia: the first on November 11 against the host team and the second against Nigeria three days later, both at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
"President Tapia received the ambassador of Russia in Argentina, Viktor Koronelli, in #Ezeiza. DT Sampaoli also spoke with them," AFA reported through their Twitter account.

The meeting took place shortly after the terrorist group Islamic State released an image showing the captain of the Albiceleste behind bars and with a tear of blood.
Local press reports that the meeting was held to discuss the security of the Argentine team in Russia.
However, the AFA declined to clarify whether the threat prompted the meeting.
