Charros return home after a tough week on the road

Good news for Charros is that they are returning home. The bad news is that they are coming back with five losses after their first week as visitors in the Mexican Pacific League.

Tonight, Culiacán took the series by defeating Jalisco 4-1, leaving them with a record of six wins and four losses after the first two weeks of the tournament.

Tomateros took the lead in the fourth inning with a home run by Josh Fuentes. Edgar González's pitching for the Culiacán team was a headache for Jalisco, as they could only manage two hits without any runs.

In the sixth inning, two more runs were scored by Culiacán, first by Maxwell León and then by Sebastián Elizalde, making it 3-0.

In the seventh, Tony Tarasco's team missed a great opportunity to score against the Culiacán team. With the bases loaded, Billy Burns hit a single that brought Edson García home, but Zazueta also tried to score and was struck out, costing the visitors a big chance. Jalisco's offense was kept at bay.

Jalisco's next series will be against the champion Águilas de Mexicali in Zapopan, followed by a series against Venados de Mazatlán.
