Children from the Tlacuitlapan neighborhood in Zacatecas recover an abandoned soccer field through the creation of murals.
This initiative was driven by ColectivoTomate and the Comex program for a better Mexico, which supports families in this state to improve their environment and the perception of security within the community.
"With this project, we achieve the sensitization and social integration of children, promoting the transformation of the environment through artistic expression, making them active agents of change with recreational activities that help prevent violence," commented Gilberto Alcaraz, Director of the 'Comex for a better Mexico' program.
The visual artist David Hernández, Davos; and the psychologist Sara Miranda from Colectivo Tomate, were part of the project called Street Children's Laboratory, where they instructed more than 30 participants between the ages of 3 and 16 to achieve the recovery of this field.
This program seeks to promote early childhood education in children to develop social skills with immediate and positive impact in their environment.
