Jefferson Farfán flew to Russia on Wednesday night to rejoin his club, Lokomotiv Moscow, for training. The Peruvian national team striker was surrounded by fans at the airport and even had an uncomfortable moment when a woman tried to take off his bracelet.

Jefferson Farfán was cautious with his statements about a possible qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia: "God willing, yes, we go with that illusion," he said before entering the boarding area.
Ricardo Gareca called up Jefferson Farfán after 17 months without presence in the national team. The forward started as a starter in the match against Bolivia in Lima, but was a substitute in the victory against Ecuador in Quito by 2-1.
The Peruvian national team will face Argentina in Buenos Aires on Thursday, October 5th, and then host Colombia to close the Russia 2018 Qualifiers.
