The Uruguayan Selection is playing a final against Argentina at the Centenario stadium. The objective is to obtain a victory and then dream of a direct qualification in this double round of Eliminations.
What needs to happen? There is something that is impossible to negotiate. Uruguay has to win against Argentina at home and against Paraguay in Asuncion. But, in addition, a series of results have to occur in order to be in the World Cup in the immediate future:
- Argentina has to lose both matches (against Uruguay in Montevideo and against Venezuela in Buenos Aires)
- Ecuador cannot win any of its two matches (against Brazil as a visitor and against Peru at home)
- Peru cannot win any of its two matches (against Bolivia in Lima and against Ecuador in Quito)
If this combination of results occurs, the ones from Maestro Tabarez would celebrate their entry into Russia.
