The scoring leader sharpens his claws for Saturday and attacks again
Wolves against Tigers at El Volcan and Julián Quiñones declares himself ready for this commitment.
The attacker from Puebla is short on words, but great in goals. Despite missing a penalty on Tuesday, he knows he can cause problems for the northerners this Saturday afternoon.
"It would make me happy, it would give joy to my team and myself."
Would you celebrate the goal?
"I wouldn't celebrate it, I have a lot of respect for that institution that opened the door for me.
"The truth is that I am very grateful to Tigres for the opportunity they gave me, for opening the doors for me here in Mexico, and I will respect them on the field as I have always done, but I will face them like any other opponent. I don't see it that way, I do what I know, what I have, nothing more, and I can't do more than what I don't know, understand me, and as I said, I will go out and do what I know."
Quiñones stated that he respects Ferretti a lot and does not close the doors to wearing the Tigres shirt again, as he feels he still has a lot of football ahead of him.
"'Tuca' is a great coach, and we hope to give our best on the field. I am a very young player, I still have a lot to prove, and Tigres is a very big team, with good players, and I had the opportunity to come to Lobos and I am taking advantage of it."
NO FEAR OF EL VOLCAN
Quiñones is a respected forward, if given spaces, he can cause problems for Tigres, so he trusts to achieve an important result in his visit to the northern part of the country.
"We are in a good position, mentally focused on the upcoming tournament, and we know that a very difficult, tough opponent is coming, and we are prepared for anything, and in this league anyone can beat anyone."
The former striker of the Incomparables pointed out that returning to the Estadio Universitario is special because of the love he still has for Tigres and its people.
"I am very happy to return to El Volcan, I wanted this day to come and God willing, we will go out to face it in the best way, without doing anything more, always doing the same as in the last game to seek victory."
How do you feel about being a national reference with your goals?
"I don't see it like that, my teammates have had a good tournament and thanks to them, I am scoring goals and thanks to them, the team is doing well and we hope to continue like this."
Regarding the absence of Luis Quiñones, the attacker said he hopes it doesn't weigh them down, as they have human resources to replace him.
"Luis is a great player who has accompanied me very well because we have been playing together since Tigres, and we have players who can replace him very well."
