Alarms go off in San José de Oruro

San José de Oruro is struggling to achieve the desired results despite having assembled a great team for this semester.

The 1-2 defeat against Oriente Petrolero at Jesús Bermúdez stadium didn't sit well with anyone, from the board to the fans of El Santo who expected a better start.

"We have intentions, but we don't reach the capacity that, by qualities, we should have, it's as simple as that, no one can argue that the team fights, tries, plays, but doesn't score," said Peruvian coach Julio César Uribe after the match in which San José fell to Oriente.

In four matches, San José has only won one game, it was in the first match against The Strongest where they won 1-2 at Hernando Siles stadium, and the president celebrated and said that this team was meant to fight for the championship.

However, little by little, the team deflated, first they lost 1-0 to Petrolero in Yacuiba, then they drew 1-1 against Blooming, and on Sunday they lost at home to Oriente 1-2.

"What we lost at home, we have to try to win away, if we don't win away, we are simply out of the fight," Uribe assured.

San José's next game will be against Guabirá on Wednesday.
