The footballer's sporting situation is becoming increasingly difficult between a team that wants him, but cannot sign him until January 2018.

If there was a signing that seemed certain at the start of the summer, it was Diego Costa's move to Atletico Madrid. The Brazilian forward was banished from Chelsea by Antonio Conte, who through a text message, indicated that he was not in his plans for this season. The logic would tell us that Chelsea was willing to transfer him to another team.

Two months later, Costa is still tied to Chelsea, and his situation is becoming increasingly difficult.

On one hand, the forward wants to go to Atletico Madrid, a team that, as we will remember, cannot sign new players until January of next year, when the FIFA sanction will end. On the other hand, the English club seems willing to sell the player, but for the right price.

And the plot could end up in court because the Brazilian says he is willing to spend a whole year in Brazil without playing football, while Chelsea demands that he rejoin training and fulfill his contract.

"I am not a criminal, and I don't think it is fair after everything I have done for the team that they treat me this way. They want me to train with the reserves, they won't allow me access to the first-team locker room, and I won't have any contact with my teammates. Why don't they let me leave if they don't want me?" expressed Costa.

However, the complaints seem to fall on deaf ears at Chelsea's executives, who do not forget the provocations that the player himself has made on his social networks. First, by leaking the text message in which Conte told him that he would not count on him this season, a move that clearly affects the player's economic valuation. Days later, Costa made a live stream from Brazil wearing Atletico Madrid's jersey, where he had the luxury of responding to his teammate Cesc Fabregas with the message "give Con a hug."

This is how Diego Costa's future seems to be in limbo with a team that wants him but cannot sign him until January, and a team that has him but would not forgive the player's offenses so easily. For now, Costa considers staying on vacation in Brazil and obtaining his freedom through a trial that allows him to sign with the team of his choice.
