Mexicans win silver at the World Archery Championships.

Mexicans Linda Ochoa and Julio Fierro won the silver medal in the Mixed Compound Team Final of the Archery World Cup held in Berlin.

Mexicans Linda Ochoa and Julio Fierro win silver in mixed team compound category

Ochoa and Fierro were unable to match the level of Americans Paige Gore and Braden Gellenthien, losing 153-156. The bronze medal went to Denmark, who defeated France 156-154.

In addition, Ochoa was unable to secure bronze, falling 139-142 to Dutch archer Sanne de Laat. Gold went to Sarah Sonnichsen (Denmark) who won 144-143 against Yesim Bostan (Turkey).

The athlete from Jalisco had finished in first place during the qualification event with a personal best score of 703 points.

On Sunday, Alejandra Valencia will compete for gold in the recurve bow category against Korean archer Chae Young Kang, as well as in the women's team event with Mariana Avitia and Aída Román, who will face Koreans Misun Choi, Hye Jin Chang, and Chae Young Kang.
