Edson Álvarez apologizes to América fans for his statements
After stating in an interview that he would prefer to play for Chivas rather than Pumas, América defender Edson Álvarez posted a message on Twitter apologizing to the Eagles' fans for his statements.
"I would like to clarify through this medium that the statements I made were part of a dynamic. The program was live and I did not expect such a question," emphasized the 19-year-old center-back.
In addition to apologizing for his comments, he expressed his love for the azulcremas jersey: "I apologize to the fans who felt offended. Club América is the greatest team in Mexico and I want to become an idol of this institution."
