Son 65 points ahead of Marc Márquez, but that doesn't seem to be a lead that allows Valentino Rossi to sleep soundly. There are still nine races left for the 2015 World Championship to have a champion, and the Italian rider considers that it would be stupid to disregard Marc from the title fight. The truth is that the championship reached its halfway point, the traditional summer break, with the best possible taste for Márquez. The reigning champion won his second race of the year at Sachsenring (the first came in the second race, in Austin), which reopened the debate of whether he will be capable of a comeback that would seem impossible for any other rider. "We don't want to make the stupid mistake of thinking that Márquez can't win the World Championship. Currently, he is quite far behind, but he will surely show himself very strong. I think that after the break, we have three tracks where Marc is particularly good, Indianapolis, Brno, and Silverstone."
Rossi has 179 points, 13 more than his Yamaha teammate, Jorge Lorenzo, and 61 more than Andrea Iannone. Márquez is fourth, at a distance that some would consider immense, 65 points behind, but the rider from Lleida has already torn up many calculations. "I know that the battle is going to be very tough in the second half of the season, but we have some tracks ahead where we will be very competitive, where we can fight for more wins," says Rossi, who has three victories this season: Qatar, Argentina, and the Netherlands. "Last year, I had a very strong second half of the season, and this year we are even in a better position," concludes the rider from Urbino.
