Marcelo Bielsa leads Lille to a comfortable victory
Argentine coach Marcelo Bielsa made his debut in his second spell in the French Ligue 1 with a comfortable 3-0 win for his team, Lille, against Nantes, led by another illustrious coach, the Italian Claudio Ranieri.
Paraguayan defender Júnior Alonso was in charge of opening the scoring shortly after the break (48'), and Nicolas de Preville, from the penalty spot (67'), and Dutchman Anwar El-Ghazi (70') sealed the victory.
Although it may be symbolic, with this victory Lille under Marcelo Bielsa, who has renewed more than half of the team that struggled last season to stay in Ligue 1, is in second place in the championship, behind Lyon.
Two of the big teams in the league, Paris SG and Monaco, also made victorious debuts.
