Charros de Jalisco Announce Preseason Roster for Liga Mexicana del Pacífico 2017-2018
The Charros de Jalisco have announced their list of invitees to participate in the preseason of the Liga Mexicana del Pacífico 2017-2018, starting in October.
The list consists of 52 Mexican players who will be vying for a spot on the team roster.
Among the players on the list are important names such as Japhet Amador, who currently plays in Japanese baseball and is a standout for the Rakuten Golden Eagles, as well as Jorge Cantú, of the Tijuana Bulls, who is batting .289 with a total of 10 home runs so far in the Mexican Baseball League season. Additionally, there are 11 selected players currently active in Major League Baseball teams.
The team led by Edgar González aims to have a better performance this season, as they finished last in the previous season with a .418 average and a record of 28 wins and 39 losses. Now, they will be looking to make it into the playoffs.
The list includes catchers José Santiago Chávez, Manuel Alejandro Cruz, Jesús Alan Espinoza, Gabriel Gutiérrez, Adán Muñoz, and Carlos Rodríguez.
The invited infielders are Japhet Amador, Jorge Cantú, Alberto Carreón, Carlos Figueroa, Alan Oziel Flores, Aldo Flores, Iván de Jesús Jiménez, Jesús López, Luis Fernando Medina, Agustín Murillo, Alejandro Ortiz, José Manuel Rodríguez, Juan Alfredo Rodríguez, Rigoberto Terrazas, and Amadeo Zazueta.
The invited outfielders are Edson Daniel García, Jorge Luis González, and Agustín Ruiz Aguilar.
The list of right-handed pitchers includes Octavio Acosta, Héctor Ambriz, Jesús Ernesto Camargo, Gerardo Carrillo, Érick Noé Casillas, Federico Castañeda, Humberto Castellanos, Ricardo Andrés Castro, Jesús Cruz, and Raúl Antonio de Los Reyes.
As for the left-handed pitchers, they are Juan Salvador Delgadillo, Ramón Delgado, Julio César Félix, Manuel Alejandro Flores, Daniel Guerrero, Eduardo Montijo, José Miguel Ramírez, Luis Iván Rodríguez, Edwin Salas, and Carlos Alexis Salazar.
The invited left-handed pitchers are Víctor Aarón González, Adrián Guzmán, Antonio Hernández, Jeffrey Ibarra, Orlando Lara, Carlos Stiff Rodríguez, Iván Salas, and Carlos Abraham Vázquez.
The preseason will start on September 10 in Guadalajara, and later they will travel to Lagos de Moreno, as is customary before the season begins.
