List of the Highest-Paid Gamers in the World
So far this year, this is the list of the highest-paid gamers in the world, earning between one to three million dollars. These figures have been calculated thanks to the website eSports earnings, which counts the amount of money each professional player has earned throughout their career in official competitions of their respective games.
The amount should actually be higher, since each player receives monthly income for training with their teams (some of them are even coaches), earnings from live broadcasts they do on Twitch.tv, and participation in advertising campaigns, like xPeke, professional League of Legends player, did with Gillette:
Even Neymar couldn't contain his excitement about this event:
Glad to see another champion on team @Gillette. Welcome, @xPekeLoL.#PursuitofPrecision pic.twitter.com/q4RdjwvJyN

It is also curious that until 27th place, all the highest-paid players are participants of Dota 2, while Faker, the most well-known League of Legends player, takes the 28th place. The list continues with gamers from the Valve video game, up to the 40th place, with Bengi, again from League of Legends.
This can be explained because the main competition of Dota 2, The International, is the tournament that has distributed the most prize money in the history of eSports, thanks to the support of fans who can contribute money to the pot by purchasing the Battle Pass each year.
