Winning everything at home is key in the fight for the Apertura title. And that's exactly what UTC keeps doing. The 'Gavilan' defeated Sport Rosario on Friday at the Heroes de San Ramon stadium in Cajamarca in a match valid for the eleventh round of the Apertura Tournament.
However, it was not an easy victory for UTC. The altitude was not an advantage and Sport Rosario made it more difficult than expected. In fact, the team from Huaraz struck first. Johan Madrid sent a cross and his shot ended up as an own goal by Jonathan Segura.
Despite this, UTC showed patience and managed to turn the game around. Donald Millán scored the equalizer from the penalty spot. Then, Juan Pablo Vergara scored the winning goal.
Thanks to this, UTC has achieved four consecutive victories at home. Furthermore, the team is undefeated in Cajamarca so far this season, with twelve wins and two draws. On the other hand, Sport Rosario has gone three matches without a win.
In the next round, UTC will face Unión Comercio in Cajamarca, while Sport Rosario will host Cantolao in Huaraz.
