The Liga MX is increasingly getting more renowned players, such is the case of the two signings that are about to arrive: Matías Fernández (Necaxa) and Timothée Kolodziejczak (Tigres).

Despite the start of the 2017 Apertura tournament, the foreign transfer market concludes this Tuesday, so teams have taken on the task of looking for renowned players to strengthen their team in the Liga MX. This is the case of Chilean Matías Fernández, who will be joining the Necaxa squad, while Tigres will hire Frenchman Timothée Kolodziejczak.

Matías Fernández

The Chilean midfielder was announced by Necaxa as their new reinforcement for the ongoing competition.

'Mati' began his professional career at Unión La Calera, and then moved on to Colo Colo. Fernández also played a part in the Chilean national team that won the Copa America in 2015.

After having good performances with his national team, Matías moved to Europe, signing with Villarreal. In 2009, he was contracted by Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, later joining AC Milan, and finally ending up at Fiorentina in Italy.

Timothée Kolodziejczak

The French defender will be the new signing for Tigres, and although it has not been made official yet, as he is about to undergo medical tests, it is one of the "bomb" signings of the 2017 Apertura.

'Kolo', as he is best known, has played for teams such as Olympique Lyon, Nice, Sevilla (Spain), and Borussia Mönchengladbach, being his last club.

Currently, 'Kolo' has not played for the senior national team of France, but in the U17 team, they came in second place in the 2008 European Championship, while in 2009, he and his teammates won the title of the U19 European Championship.

Enner Valencia

The Ecuadorian forward, from Everton in England, will be the new reinforcement for Tigres UANL, the current runners-up in the league.

Valencia will have his second episode in Mexican football and sees it as a "rematch", after losing the Final with Pachuca in 2014, and also having been the leading goalscorer with the Tuzos.

He will join the attacking line with André-Pierre Gignac, in pursuit of a new championship.

Keisuke Honda

The surprise from Pachuca was the announcement of their new reinforcement, Keisuke Honda, from AC Milan, a club with which he won an Italian Supercup.

The Hidalgo team secured their new signing in the early hours of Friday in Los Angeles. Honda will join the team's training sessions starting July 17.

Juan Pablo Carrizo

Monterrey also did their part. Their "bomb" signing is a little peculiar but has a very good resume. Juan Pablo Carrizo is a goalkeeper from Inter Milan and was trained at River Plate.

Carrizo is known for being a good shot stopper with quick reflexes and often comes out on top in one-on-one situations. In addition, he was a forward in his youth, so he knows how to get past opponents, providing competition for Hugo González, Monterrey's current goalkeeper.

Felipe Mora

The Chilean arrives at Cruz Azul in excellent condition, having been the top scorer and champion with the Universidad de Chile, the team he played for before signing with Cruz Azul.

Felipe Mora has been one of the most talked about signings, in large part because he will be playing with some of his compatriots such as Francisco Silva or Enzo Roco at the blue team. The Chilean will be one of the players to watch in the tournament.

Édgar Méndez

Cruz Azul's latest signing was a surprise to many, as announcing a former 'merengue' player in the Liga MX is not an everyday occurrence.

Edgar Méndez, trained at Real Madrid, had a great performance in the last Copa del Rey with Alavés, scoring four goals in six games. It is expected that the midfielder will cover the position left by Joao Rojas, as he handles the right side very well.
