One of the best right-backs of the past semester was Jesús Sánchez from Chivas, but despite his good performance with the team, it was not enough for him to go to the Confederations Cup or the Gold Cup with the national team.

It is said that if he is not called up for the Mexican national team, it is because of his short height, but the Chivas player says that aspect of his physique does not concern him, nor does it bother him, and that if Juan Carlos Osorio doesn't call him, it is purely a matter of the Colombian coach.

"In certain positions, you need a different type of player. I don't feel inferior because I'm short. I try to show what I am here and be good for Chivas. I understand football, that's how it is. There are preferences and you can lean towards another player. I dedicate myself to being here, giving my all here, and there's nothing else I can do," he said.

'El Chapo' added that despite the absences that Chivas has due to injuries or national team call-ups, he sees a solid and competitive team.

"We know that the players in the national team are quality players, most of them are starters, and obviously we miss them, but Chivas doesn't think about whether they are there or not. We don't focus on that, but on the guys who are here, and that's what we work on," said the player from Sonora.
