Mexican Fans Clash Over Controversial Chant During Soccer Match
Tensions ran high in the stands of Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego during the Mexican national team's match against El Salvador, as some fans against the "eh, puto" chant confronted those who continued to shout the controversial slogan.
The Non Violence Project, an organization dedicated to helping initiatives aimed at eradicating the expression considered homophobic, reported that security was heightened in the stadium after some fans started a skirmish.
