In Arena Mexico, Niebla Roja, apprentice of the 'wrestler from another level', did not miss the opportunity to challenge his former partner in the faction of the 'Guerreros Laguneros', and demanded a hair match in the framework of the qualifying rounds to determine the other finalist of the Universal Champion tournament.
"The design of the mask (Niebla Roja) belongs to me, I will not rest until I recover them in the ring," said Ultimo Guerrero.
"The bet is on, I have told him in interviews, on Sunday we have a one-on-one match, on Monday too, and no matter the result, I will keep cornering him until we reach that duel," said Niebla Roja.
The final of the second round to determine the wrestler who will crown himself as the monarch of the Universal Championship 2017, took place in a fierce contest; from start to finish, Ultimo Guerrero tested his former student Niebla Roja, who with trickery tried to win by hitting 'Tirantes' in order to foul Guerrero freely, but with all the experience he has, Guerrero stripped him of his mask, submitting him, while the controversial referee recovered, declaring the 'Wrestler from another level' the winner.
"A very tough fight is coming against Volador, but I hope to come out victorious and crown myself for the third time as the Universal Champion," said Ultimo Guerrero.
The actions began at a rapid pace between Ultimo Guerrero, Marco Corleone, Ephesto, Soberano Jr., Niebla Roja, Místico and Diamante Azul; the direct confrontations were determined by eliminating one by one as they were thrown over the top rope.
The matches, with one fall and no time limit, were as follows: Ephesto against Diamante Azul, where with a suplex from Diamante, he left the 'Son of Hell' lying on the canvas to win the match.
In the other match, Marco Corleone faced Ultimo Guerrero, taking advantage of an Italian splash to gain the upper hand over the idol of the ladies.
One of the most interesting matches was the one that pitted Mephisto against Místico. The 'Kaiser of Hell' applied his best punishments and had the match in his favor, a kind of piledriver brought the count to two for the heel, but with flights that got the audience on their feet and on the verge of madness, the 'Prince of silver and gold' managed to turn the match around, and with his signature move, 'la mística,' he defeated the ruffian.
Niebla Roja defeated Soberano Jr. in a match characterized by the high-flying skills of both wrestlers, but a hasty elimination of Soberano with a 'destroza caras' move disqualified him.
Último Guerrero faced Diamante Azul in the semifinal, in a battle that had the audience on their feet with the holds offered by the gladiators; with a masterful hold, the lagunero subdued Diamante Azul and left him with no possibilities of competing in the grand final.
Místico faced Niebla Roja in the other semifinal, where the young lagunero emerged victorious in a match characterized by the desire to face his mentor from the former heel.
In incredible tag team matches, the semifinal match pitted Ingobernables Rush and Pierroth against '1000% handsome' Shocker, Terrible and Vangellys.
The victory went to those who respect nothing and nobody; with a lethal blow delivered by Pierroth to Vangellys, with the help of brass knuckles, the 'German tank' was left unconscious and badly injured, having to be taken out on a stretcher, leaving a mystery of what will happen in the match they will have next Friday, where they will fight for their hair.
Pegaso, Rey Cometa and Blue Panther faced the heels Virus, Misterioso Jr., and Sam Adonis in an Australian tag team match. With one fall for each side and with the support of the fans, a wrist lock by the 'Master lagunero' on the American Sam Adonis gave the victory to the technicians.
The winners of the first match were the technical wrestlers Silueta, Princesa Sugehit and Jarochita, who with great agility and skill defeated the heels Dalys, Zeuxis and Seductora.
