Gonzalo Higuaín got tired and sued his former club.

The forward of Juventus Gonzalo Higuaín, through his agent and brother Nicolás Higuaín, sued the president of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis, for not having paid the football player the 2.5 million euros (2.8 million dollars) provided in his contract.

The agent of Gonzalo Higuaín, who left Napoli last year and now plays in Juventus, declared that De Laurentiis has not answered his calls since last summer and that he did not respect the agreements, according to an interview published today by the Turin newspaper Tuttosport.

"This time it's not a football match, it's something more serious. We’re talking about a professional who had a clear contract and his president did not fully respect it. My father has been working in football for 45 years and I have been for 25, we had never experienced something like this before," said the agent of Gonzalo Higuaín.

Nicolás Higuaín ensured that his intention was to solve the problem with De Laurentiis privately, but stressed that the president did not answer his calls and limited himself to inform him through a representative that "he did not want to be bothered."

"When we signed for Napoli, he promised us many things. I advise agents who take their players to Napoli to formalize everything in a clear way and with the help of lawyers," added the agent of Gonzalo Higuaín.

The agent of Gonzalo Higuaín was categorical in his statements against De Laurentiis and considered that the president of Juventus, Andrea Agnelli, is completely different.

"The relationship with Agnelli is different, he has another style. He and De Laurentiis are like water and vinegar. After the Champions League final (lost by Juventus against Real Madrid) Agnelli hugged the whole team," said Gonzalo Higuaín.

Nicolás Higuaín also reported that his brother is "very comfortable in Turin" and that there is "a concrete possibility" that he will play there for life.
