Deportivo Muncipal drew 2-2 against Sporting Cristal at the Alberto Gallardo stadium for the eighth round of the Torneo Apertura. The municipal team came back from a 2-0 score in four minutes thanks to a double by Diego Mayora.
The first goal came at the 79th minute after the municipal forward scored with a header in the area following a cross from the midfield by Héctor Salazar. While the second goal came at the 83rd minute through a well-executed penalty shot against goalkeeper Carlos Grados.
With this double, Diego Mayora reached 9 goals and became the top scorer for Deportivo Municipal in the current Descentralizado 2017 season.
